The SNAP development team is pleased to announce a beta SNAP release.
Please note that this SNAP 6.0 beta release is not fully tested, but it contains new features and fixes to many issues found in SNAP 5.0. The SNAP 6.0 beta release is provided “as is” and is not supported and you are installing and testing it at your own risk. We are interested in your feedback and bug reports, and intend to fix the reported bugs in the SNAP 6.0 official version.
This beta release will be followed by the release of the official version of SNAP 6.0 soon.
The different installers for the supported platforms can be downloaded.
Beside bug fixes and improvements, several new features are waiting for you in SNAP 6.0 beta. For example:

- Sentinel-2 Product Reader: Read detector footprint masks per detector, Support for ZIP inputs, Sentinel-2B products support

- Sen2Cor tool adapter: Advanced configuration, download and installation from SNAP
S3TBX
- C2RCC processor
- Support Rayleigh Correction of S2-MSI
- Support Rad2Refl for SLSTR

- FU Classification extended for S2-MSI, MODIS500 and CZCS

Is this different from the first beta release?
Yes, there shall be some some fixes. Especially regarding SAR processing.
I want to know for Sigma 0 calculation for ALOS 2 PALSAR 2 on SNAP 6, Is it already use new calibration equation as follow:

I know I’m a bit late to the conversation, but since @marpet said there are new features for SAR processing , has the wind field estimation wizard improved? As far as I’ve read, it is suitable for ENVISAT data, but gives some pretty bad results for S1.
