{"id":2457,"date":"2024-09-24T05:58:07","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T05:58:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/step.esa.int\/main\/?p=2457"},"modified":"2024-09-24T05:58:07","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T05:58:07","slug":"release-of-sen2cor-2-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/step.esa.int\/main\/release-of-sen2cor-2-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Release of Sen2Cor 2.12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to inform the Sentinel-2 users community that a new version of Sen2Cor (Release 2.12) is available under: <a href=\"https:\/\/step.esa.int\/main\/snap-supported-plugins\/sen2cor\/sen2cor-v2-12\/\">https:\/\/step.esa.int\/main\/snap-supported-plugins\/sen2cor\/sen2cor-v2-12\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This new version supports the current update of Sentinel-2 products with Processing Baseline <b>05.11<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Stand-alone installers for the two operating systems Linux, and Windows are now on-line.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the algorithm, the main improvements of the Sen2Cor 2.12 processor compared to previous version 2.11 are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support of the input L1C products generated with the current (<a href=\"https:\/\/sentinel.esa.int\/documents\/d\/sentinel\/s2-pdgs-cs-di-psd-v15-0\">15.0<\/a>) and previous (14.9, 14.6, 14.5 and 14.2) PSD (Products Specification Document).<\/li>\n<li>Support for the forthcoming L1C products generated by the Copernicus Sentinel-2C Multi Spectral Instrument (MSI).<\/li>\n<li>Addition of the Look-Up Tables for Copernicus Sentinel-2C Multi Spectral Instrument (MSI).<\/li>\n<li>Support the handling of Copernicus DEM at 30 and 90m resolution hosted on the Registry of Open Data on Amazon Web Services (AWS).<\/li>\n<li>Perfective Maintenance (See Software Release Note ):\n<ul>\n<li>Renaming of the DARK_FEATURES class (SCL = 2) in the Level-2A Scene Classification Layer by CAST_SHADOW.
